Honestly, one of the best Hostels I've had in Japan. They take a lot of care on the details of the dorms that reduce noise, which I'm going to describe here: – You get a really nice, quite thick, wooden box, with beautiful and dimmable light, lots of space, good mattress, and even a silent fan built into the box, which then allows nearly fully darken the box with a curtain that neatly snaps on to a magnet on the rails. – There is a carpet on the floor that takes up a lot of noise from the dorm. – There is enough space inside of the dorm, so you don't feel cramped and hear neighbours. – The frame of the door is padded and therefore closes very quietly. Such a small but neat detail. This allowed me to have the probably best sleep I ever had in a hostel. Also the location is right next to the main station in Hiroshima, which allows you to take the next Shinkanzen just a few minutes later. I don't know how fluctuant the prices are but my stay was also amongst the cheapest I had within the whole trip and that's such an incredible good value for the money. Obviously, I highly recommend this place!

Great location, 5' from hiroshima station. Also, close to several convenient store. The staff was very nice and helpful. They had several recommendations, which is always appreciated. They allow you to leave your bags before check-in/after check-out. The female dormitory was quite spacious, and the beds were comfortable and clean. The lights turned on/off automatically, which was super nice, adding to the great night sleep. The bathrooms were kept very clean and there was enough for everyone not to queue. Beware, you have to pay a fee for towels. The common space is super cosy and lively, with a fully equipped kitchen and amenities. It's a great space to meet people!

Great location, close to Hiroshima JR station, tram/bus stop, convenience stores. The guest house is spotless and functional throughout. The kitchen has all you need and more❣️including basic seasoning, cooking oil etc. The laundry machine and tumble dryer work brilliantly. The bed was comfortable with fresh linen provided, powerful shower makes you feel refreshed after a long walk in the city. Love the interior, very relaxing. Highly recommend especially if you are on a budget, yet makes you feel at home 💕

The guesthouse was only a few minutes away from the station which was perfect for me because I travelled with a big suitcase. The reception and the kitchen/chilling area is downstairs, the stairs to the rooms are next to the reception but you have to go outside to get to the room. There are stairs to the room but the staff can help you with the luggage. I liked that the areas were separated because I stayed up late often and didn't disturb anyone like this. The beds, showers and toilets were all clean.

I had a great stay at Akicafe. The bunks are nice and roomy and can fit your belongings in them, larger suitcases seem to be fine just outside of your bunk. It’s very clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom and kitchen areas have everything you need. And nice areas to sit and relax or socialise. The staff were nice and they carried my bag up the stairs to the bunk room. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the train station and the streetcar stop is even closer. Also shops right there.
